Install Audacity on Ubuntu Using Terminal:
You must need the Snap Package installer on your Ubuntu PC to install the Audacity application on your PC. The snap comes default in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and later versions. If your pc doesn’t have the snap package installer then use the below command to install the snap package in your Ubuntu pc.
Snap is available for other Linux distros too. You can install the snap application on Fedora, CentOS and many more. Install SNAP on Linux Distributions.
After installing the Snap package and use the below command to install the Audacity on Ubuntu:
sudo snap install audacity

It will prompt you to enter the password, enter the password to complete the installation process.
Install Audacity on Ubuntu using Ubuntu Store:
If you don’t want to use code or command terminal then you can install Audacity application from the Ubuntu Store (GUI Method).
The above button will leads you to the Audacity app in Ubuntu Store. Follow the below instructions to install it.

Launch Audacity:
You can launch the audacity application using the “Launch” button. Below we added an image shows how to launch the audacity application.

Remove Audacity From Ubuntu:
You can remove audacity from Ubuntu Store itself. Click the Remove button to remove the Audacity from the Ubuntu Store.

Alternatively, you can use the Linux terminal to remove Audacity application from your Ubuntu. Use the below command.
sudo snap remove audacity
