FMPEG 4.2: The latest version of FFMPEG 4.2 released on August 5th 2019. FFMPEG is a free and open-source application available for Windows, Mac & Linux. The FFMPEG is mainly used to record, convert and stream audio and video. FFMPEG is mainly created by Fabrice Bellard & developed by the FFMPEG team. FFmpeg includes libavcodec, an audio/video codec library used by many commercial and free software products, libavformat (Lavf), an audio/video container mux and demux library, and the core FFmpeg command-line program for transcoding multimedia files.

$ffmpeg -i input.mp4 output.avi

The Above command will let you convert the Mp4 video files (input.mp4) into .avi video format (output.avi)
