Installing Gnome Contacts on Ubuntu:
Before installing Gnome Contact snap application, Your Ubuntu should have snap package installer. On Ubuntu 18.04 & 19.04 version snap package installer comes default. If your Ubuntu misses a snap and then use the below command to install the snap package installer.
After installing the snap package installer, then follow the below instruction to install the Gnome Contact application on your Ubuntu.
Installing Gnome Contact Through Terminal:
- Open command terminal using the shortcut CTRL + ALT + T
- Now copy the below command to install fkill application
- Enter password if it asks.
- Wait for the installation process to complete.
Once it got completed, You can launch the application by entering the following phrase “gnome-contacts“.
Launching Gnome Contacts:
After the installation completed, You can launch the Gnome Contacts application by entering the following keyword in the Terminal “gnome-contacts“.
Once it launched, you can access the contact application by connecting to the online account settings or using “Local Address Book” and then click the “Done” button in the top right corner.
Currently, you don’t have any contact and so it seems empty. You can add the contact by clicking the “+” sign in the left top corner.

- Contact Number

- Contact Address
Then click the done button in the top right corner of the application. Once you have done it. The Contacts application will show you the saved contact as shown in the below image:
You can remove the contact by edit the contact and click the “Remove Contact” button on the bottom right corner on the application.
Remove Gnome Contacts:
You can remove Gnome Contact snap application from the Ubuntu using the following command:
Enter the password and execute the uninstallation process.
