  3. sudo apt-get update
  4. sudo apt-get install kodi

  • Once you open the Terminal(Shell), Type or Paste the following Command. sudo apt-get install software-properties-common. You will be asked to enter your Linux Password. Type your Linux Password and press Enter Key. The process will initiate. The output as follows.

  • Now, Type or Paste the following command in the terminal and press Enter Key. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa. The terminal will ask for your confirmation. Press Enter Key to confirm it.

  • Kindly wait for the process to complete. The output as follows.

  • Then enter the following Command and press Enter key. sudo apt-get update. Wait for the process to Complete.

  • We are moving into our final step. Type the Command sudo apt-get install kodi and press Enter Key. The installation of Kodi will start now. Now, you will be asked “Whether you want to Continue? [y/n]. Kindly Press the “y” button on your Keyboard and press Enter Key.

  • The Installation process of Kodi will continue and will be installed on your Linux Ubuntu Unity and also on other systems.

For Debian 9 Distributions:

$   sudo apt-get update
$   sudo apt-get install kodi

Kodi is available on the main debian repository itself. Hence it is very easy installing Kodi on Debian Distros.

For Fedora:

$   sudo dnf install –nogpgcheck \$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm

$   sudo dnf install kodi

For Arch Linux:

sudo pacman -S git
cd $HOME
