ine 4.0 is now available for Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo Edition. Wine app is mainly used to run the Windows games & apps on Linux and Unix based Systems. In this Wine 4.0 edition, the fixed and enhanced the working of the app, additionally this version will work on Disco Dingo Ubuntu 19.04 edition.

Install Wine HQ Packages:

This Wine HQ package was changed on 19.12.2019 If you using the Wine HQ package launched before one. Then you should need to remove the older one and add the new Wine HQ repo key & run the following command to update the package ” sudo apt update ” to accept the repo changes.

Install Wine Repository Key:

To upgrade or install Wine 4.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS or 19.04 run the following commands in a new terminal window, but do so carefully. If you have a different Wine PPA or repo installed you should remove it before proceeding.

$wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/winehq.key
WIne HQ Key Repo

The above command will download the Wine HQ key in your PC.

$sudo apt-key add winehq.key
Add Wine HQ
Add Wine HQ

This command will add the Wine HQ in your PC.

Install Wine 4.0 For Ubuntu Versions:

You can simply follow the below instructions to install the Wine 4.0 application for Ubuntu 18.04, 18.10, 18.04.2 LTS & 19.04 Disco Dingo Edition.

Install Wine 4.0 for Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo:

$sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ disco main'

The above command will install the Wine 4.0 app in your Ubuntu 19.04 PC.

Install Wine 4.0 for Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Main:

$sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ cosmic main'

Install Wine 4.0 for Ubuntu 18.04 & 18.04.2 LTS Bionic Main:

$sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ bionic main'

The above command will install the Wine 4.0 app in your Ubuntu 18.04 & 18.04.2 PC.

Install Wine 4.0 for Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Main:

$sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ xenial main'

The above command will install the Wine 4.0 app in your Ubuntu 16.04 PC.
